WALKERS/BIKE RIDERS

Discuss with your child the importance of walking and riding directly home and not playing in yards, trampling flower beds, swinging from trees, tampering with mailboxes, using profane language, and any other non-productive behavior which distracts from arriving home in a safe and timely manner.

It is very important that you have a plan in place and your child understands what to do regarding dismissal when there is inclement weather, heavy rain, etc. Please let your child know before coming to school if there are any changes in the way he/she will be getting home that day.

Q.  What can my child wear on Friday?

Every Friday students are allowed to wear:  Dalraida Spirit Shirts (from this year or previous years), Team Shirts (example: Auburn, Alabama, Patriots) NO JERSEYS!, and Dalraida Participation Marathon/PE Shirts.

Shirts must be worn with uniform bottoms - NO JEANS. (PBIS Jeans Days will be announced , usually the last Friday of the month.)

Q.  Why do I have to show my ID at the front office?

The simple answer is SAFETY!  There is a 100% ID check when checking-out at Dalraida.  This will ensure that the kids are not being released to anyone without parental consent.  You must be the child's custodial parent/guardian or be authorized by parent to pick up from school.  Please come prepared with ID.

Q.  Does the school provide snacks for the kids?

No.  However, PTA will be offering popcorn/pickles/chips and water two Friday's a month, starting September.  After September it will be on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. Students will pay for popcorn/pickles/chips on Friday mornings for $1, each, cash only.  On Wednesdays, Nancy's Italian Ice will be delivering Italian Ice.  Must send $1, cash only, on Mondays to participate for the week.

Q.  Why are there so many fundraisers???

PTA has ONE big fundraiser this year.  Teachers, specialists, and the PE department will also have fundraisers.  We apologize for the confusion!  We hope that this NEW blog will alleviate some of the miscommunication about who is doing which fundraiser.  Please just know, that no matter the fundraiser, all profits are going back to the school! Please also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
